Azienda Agricola Lupi Thomas
Thomas Lupi is a dairy farmer. In 2008, he decided to buy his father’s farm, which was established in the mid-1970s on the Reggio Emilia hillside. The Lupi Thomas farm has 60 milking dairy cows, all Holstein Friesians. Animal welfare is an important issue to consider when it comes to rearing dairy cows. In fact, Thomas takes various measures to guarantee animal welfare, such as giving them enough space so they can move around freely, as well as a balanced diet that meets their nutritional needs.
“We have about 40 hectares of property and we make all the fodder for the farm”.
The milk produced by Thomas is then turned into Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
“Having been born here, this has been a passion of mine since I was very small.
To this day, being part of the Parmigiano Reggiano supply chain is a goal of mine.
I definitely have a passion for what I do”.
Thomas is proud of his work and his contribution to making such a prized and much-loved product. Thanks to his passion for his cows and his dedication to his job as a farmer, he is able to guarantee the finest quality milk which helps make a one-of-a-kind cheese.
