COLLINE DI CANOSSA SUPPORTS THE MINIBASKET TEAMS OF “A.S.D. L.G. COMPETITION CASTELNOVO NE’ MONTI”
Sponsoring the youth team is the latest of the activities with which we demonstrate our closeness to the community of which our dairies are part.
Knowing that territory is a crucial ingredient of our success, we have long been committed to creating value in the community of which our dairies are part. In fact, to us sustainability also means taking care of the people who make up the social fabric of our region.
For this reason, we have decided to sponsor the minibasket teams of ‘A.S.D. L.G. COMPETITION Castelnovo ne’ Monti’ with Colline di Canossa srl, a company of our group.
A project shared with E80 Group, main sponsor, and partner of the Association, with the common goal of offering very young athletes the opportunity to practice a healthy and educational activity.
“We chose this project because it allows us to intervene in favour of the territory in which our two dairies are located, a mountain territory where, for children, a mini-basketball team is a precious resource for growing up, being part of a team and learning the fundamental values of sport,” – says general manager Andrea Guidi – “We are therefore very proud to be able to support this initiative and to see the Colline di Canossa logo on the jerseys of these very young players”.
Founded in 1978, E80 Group aims to promote and practice the sport of basketball among young people, becoming a benchmark for the mountains of Reggio Emilia and offering many children and young people the opportunity to share important moments of personal growth. In fact, LG Competition Castelnovo ne’ Monti has around 150 athletes in the youth/minibasket sector and another 25 or so involved in the C series and Regional Division 2 championships.
“Since the very beginning, we have given special attention to the youth department in order to train not only athletes, but above all the People of Tomorrow and bring ‘Mountain Basketball’ to the Emilia-Romagna region,” says president Luca Baccarani. “The association also declines its commitment to sport through the values of Inclusive Growth, Belonging to the Territory, Respect, and Enthusiasm (CARE)”.
A communion of intentions that also converges in our mission to contribute to the training, education, and growth of the local future new generations.
This sponsorship is just the latest in a series of initiatives that have seen us committed to social sustainability in recent years, and which demonstrate how we put on the ground, concretely, actions that create value for our community and our attention to all its members, especially the younger ones. These include our collaboration with the local cooperative Panta Rei, in particular with the PERSEO project, which provides food education for autistic children.
