Azienda Agricola Le Boccede allevamento del Minello
The farm was established in 1987 as an agritourism complex, with the initial idea of a hotel with horse riding stables to which was added the breeding of Chianina cattle for the restaurant, converted in 2013 into a more profitable dairy cattle farm.
By choice, only Italian Pezzata Rossa cattle are breeded according to organic farming standards, 70 being milked in a free-stall barn and a hundred reared in the wild on pastureland, all born and bred on the farm.
Pezzata Rossa Italiana is at the centre of the partnership project with DalterFood Group. From the milk produced at Le Boccede, the Colline di Canossa – Cigarello dairy obtains the exclusive Parmigiano Reggiano di Sola Pezzata Rossa Italiana, certified organic and Mountain Product.
Territorial and environmental sustainability, thanks to solar panels and a biogas plant that produces energy independently, play an important role for the company.
